With 4.0mm of rainfall yesterday morning it was the wettest day since 29th June. The sun broke through in the afternoon lifting the temperature to a maximum of 18.7C, which is 4C below the average but the air was coming from a westerly direction which is much cooler. The night just passed was also cool with a minimum of 9.6C but the cloud bank cleared shortly after dawn and the sun broke through with a clear blue sky and a temperature of 13.7C at 08.00.
