Yesterday was a glorious day with 5.4 hours of strong sunshine, which combined with the warm southerly wind pushed the thermometer to a maximum of 19.4C at 15.17. That made yesterday the warmest March day since 28th March 2012, being 9C above the long-term average. The UV level at 4.0 was at its highest since September 28th last year.
The cloudy night and continuing southerly breeze meant another very mild night with a minimum occurring just before 8am with a reading of 10.3C. There was a brief shower amounting to 0.4mm early this morning. Today has dawned overcast as the weather front exits east.
