Yesterday was the third day without sunshine this month and the third day with a substantial rainfall total. The torrential rain just before noon fell at the rate of 25mm/hour at its peak with the total for the day of 10.9mm. The rainfall total for the three days of January stands at 24.5mm. Clearing skies overnight meant a minimum of 5.3C just before 4am.
