The barometric pressure has been falling continuously for almost two days, from a high of 1030mb to 998mb this morning due to another intense area of low-pressure arriving from the Atlantic. Overnight the rainfall has been sporadic and light amounting to 4.8mm but wind strength has been rising again with a peak of 30mph. The air is warm with a minimum of 8.1C overnight when the mean is 1.2C but rising to 9.3C at 08.00.
