Friday brought us the third sunless day this month as thick, low cloud persisted all day and night. The wind veered into the west and later northwest so a cooler day but the peak of 11.8C was still 1.6C above the average. The overnight minimum of 8.5C was also above average (+4.7C).
The barometric pressure has been easing downwards as the centre of the high pressure located further north. This change in position also affected the wind direction as later on Friday the breeze, which was very light, veered into the northwest.
Saturday arrived with very misty and moist conditions with visibility reduced to around 1500m.
