Wind building today

The gloomy conditions continued on Sunday although it was very mild with a peak temperature of 12.7C at 14.10 being 4.6C above my 40-year average. It was another dry day. The warmth dropped away during the early hours to register a low of 8.2C at 06.39.

The start to Monday revealed another overcast sky. The wind strength is likely to rise during the day thanks to a squeeze between the high pressure to the south and a depression edging in from the north. The air is a little drier today with a humidity reading of 89% at 08.00, the lowest since 31st January.The wind will back a few degrees into the southwest or south southwest for most of the day.

The barometric pressure has continued to edge away, some 12mb down sinde the high in the 1st, with a reading of 1022.8mb at 08.00.
